I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Graduate Counselor in the state of Maryland. I believe in the power of the relationship in therapy and strive to create a safe space for everyone who walks through my door. Through an insight-oriented holistic approach, my focus is to support and empower clients in our collaborative work together. I am hopeful that healing and change are possible.
I provide individual, couples, and family therapy in my work with clients ages 4 to 65; utilizing a blend of traditional talk therapy, play therapy, and creative techniques. I have a background in helping clients overcome a variety of concerns such as, anxiety, depression, trauma, relational struggles, life transitions, sexuality, and grief. I have worked extensively with the LGBTQ+ community supporting individuals navigating the coming out process and gender confirmation process.
A little bit about my training – I received a BA in psychology and went on to receive my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. In the fall of 2018, I began pursuing my Doctorate in counselor education and supervision. I am also working towards a certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional. In addition to my clinical work and training, I am an adjunct professor at Shippensburg University.
